Yumi Donates Compostable Plates to Girl Scouts of Connecticut

Yumi donated compostable plates to Girl Scouts of Connecticut's annual Camp CEO program. 

Learning about plastic and the damage it does to the environment is critical for today's youth. Girl Scouts of Connecticut learned what a difference it can make to our planet to use plant based materials found in our eco-products instead of petroleum based plastics.

We hope these budding future leaders will pass along the knowledge they gained and encourage others to join Yumi and help us save our planet!

Yumi Sponsors Family Polo Day

Yumi sponsored the Second Annual Family Polo Day celebration at the Greenwich Polo Club providing plates, cups and utensils for the event. 

The Luxury Marketing Council of Connecticut-Hudson Valley held its Second Annual Polo Family Day on Sunday, June 12 at the Greenwich Polo Club in Greenwich, CT. In attendance were more than 150 members and their families and friends from the Luxury Marketing Council’s Connecticut-Hudson Valley and New York City chapters.

The weather cooperated and guests enjoyed a sampling of summer beverages and foods from selected members, contests, and children’s games and activities. All this as they watched a thrilling second round match in one of polo’s most prestigious tournaments, the Monty Waterbury Cup, that went into overtime with White Birch finally beating Goose Creek 9 to 8.

Fairfield Environmental Film Festival

The Fairfield Environmental Film Festival premiered on Thursday, May 5 and ran until Saturday, May 7, at Sacred Heart University’s Martire Business and Communications Center.
